What to do when

Research degrees  | June- October

Use our website/app or UCAS to search degrees that are relevant to what you want to do. Find out about uni’s as well as cities and locations that you’re interested in.


Attend an Open Day  | October

Whether it’s on campus or online Open Days are a great chance to ask questions and get a feel for a place.


Start your application | September - December

Choose your options on UCAS and start your personal statement


Submit your application | January - June

Submit via UCAS in January to ensure all your choices consider you equally. You can always apply after this date it may just mean you don’t receive a response or offer as soon as those who applied by the UCAS deadline. 


Attend an applicant event | March - May

Find out more about your course, see campus, meet current students and tutors, get support and advice ahead of making your decisions
 

Apply for Student Finance | February - May

Apply on time to ensure you have funding in place ready for when you start in September, the deadline changes each year but is typically around the 20th May. This is also a good time to explore accommodation.


Accept your offer

When you need to accept will differ based on when you applied, keep an eye on emails to see when you need to make a decision by.
 

Plan your future

Brush up on your study skills, make a list of what you want to do in Manchester, start planning for your exciting new future!
